Track boarding goes down - 26th October The work party on Sunday has virtually finished the track boarding and layout. A substantial timber frame has been constructed, topped off with ply board, this is looking really good and will eventually be painted. Probably white edging, with red and white stripes on the corners, and green for the top ply board to simulate grass. The work party is returning next weekend to finish off.
TRACK NOW RESURFACED!! - 21st October The new surface has now been laid and as you can see from the picture section is looking good. We have tried different scales of car on the surface and it seems to give a very good grip. If anything this will improve over time as rubber etc is laid down on top, remember this is indoors so it won't be washed away by the rain. Thanks go to Kevin, Keith and Elliot for all their hard work. We will hopefully be there next weekend, Sunday 26th October, to continue working on the track markers/boards etc. Anyone keen to help, please contact Kevin at the shop for details!
Work to start shortly on resurfacing the concrete floor Enquiries are currently being made to ascertain the best type of surface to run on indoors.
