Opening Meeting - an enjoyable day
The opening meeting at LRRC on Sunday 14th December saw a good turnout for a new venue. 42 competitors braved the warm air and dry track conditions to experience a good days racing. The new track proved to be quite demanding on drivers abilities and we soon saw the lap record dropping as drivers set their cars up and "learnt" the track. In the end the lap record went to Andy Gardiner with his Mugen Touring IC. A result he was proud of, especially as the bigger brothers of the Touring IC's were present! The racing passed without any major hitches and everyone seemed to go home happy, several already booking their place at the next meeting on the 21st December. We would like to pay special thanks to all those who helped in building the track over many hours: Keith, Elliott, Steve, Joe, Simon, Andy, Kevin, Jason, Les, Clare, Hannah, Sean & Carl.
The new AMB tested - 10th December
The new AMB has been tested and together with the SPARC 2 software from Track Timing, works very well. This software allows many sophisticated features including the use of personal transponders and external display of results. Please tell us your personal transponder number when booking in. We have also tested the new digital PA system which will provide clear announcements for drivers both in the pits and on the track.
AMB has arrived - 7th November
The new AMB lap counting system has arrived, consisting of 2 sets of transponders, 1 set of personal transponders and the new Sparc racing control software. Jason White will be cutting the concrete floor on Sunday to facilitate installation of the loop cable.
