Large Shooting Tables
Could racers please not remove the large shooting tables from the storeroom when turning up, these cannot be used by us - thanks...

Club facilities include:
The club currently caters for all electric classes from 1/18th up to and including 1/10th scale touring cars and buggies.

On site facilities include:
Cafe - serving hot food etc; Licensed bar and function rooms; Toilet and shower facilities; Camping facilities for 1,000 caravans; Dormitories available at reasonable rates

Practising at the Centre:
Unfortunately there is no current facility for practising at Bisley other than on race days.

The dates for the latter half of the year are now listed below. Due to events being on some Monday nights, I have opted to take some Tuesdays and Thursdays so we get as much racing as possible.

 BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY - 25th May 2009

The Centre will now be OPEN on this date so the meeting will go ahead as per usual - this one being on CARPET.

 NON CARPET MEETING - 11th May 2009

Due to a fair amount of people asking, we are gonig to try running this date meeting on the old flooring to see how it goes and hopefully attract back some of the people who haven’t been since we decided to use carpet. Experimental, but see how we get on.

 Carpet Racing

We are pleased to announce that we have purchased approximately 6 rolls of carpet for racing at Bisley. We hope this Monday, 2nd February, to get to the centre a bit earlier to try and lay out the carpet to see how long it would take in an evening and what sort of racing shape we could make. It may be worth you bringing some alternate tyres with you that may be more suitable for carpet. Would it be possible for drivers to turn up after 7pm to allow time for the above to take place? Obviously experimenting with the carpet for this meeting may mean we might have to lose one round from our usual four. But hopefully you can see the benefits of enhanced grip going forward. So please bear with us.

I have just confirmed the following dates for 2009 with the Centre, please note that these are always provisional and you should check the website before leaving if you are coming a fair distance.

January - 5th, 19th; February - 2nd, 16th; March - 2nd, 16th, 30th
April - 13th cancelled, 27th; May - 11th, 25th; June - 8th, 22nd; July - 6th, 20th; August - 17th, 31st; September - 14th, 28th; October - 13th (Tuesday), 26th; November - 12th (Thursday), 23rd; December - 10th (Thursday), 21st

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING IC CARS
Firstly apologies for the misunderstanding last night, unfortunately the Centre had a serious staffing issue and tried to email us about cancelling the meeting but unfortunately it went to an old address. Holding conversations with the Manager to try and avoid this in the future he has said that he would like us to move to the left hand side of the buidling which isn't used as much. This will allow us to run pretty much all through the Summer, which we can't normally do. The unfortunate consequence of this is that the Centre now does not want us to run IC cars due to Health and Safety issues etc. I'm sorry to let you IC drivers down, but with immediate effect we are unable to run IC cars. Thank you for supporting the club up to now, hopefully you will maybe dig out an old electric and run that - ANDY.
